Every deal have seen a lot of new developments...

In Brazil, the MoD (Nelson Jobim) have been replaced by Celso Amorin.

Some emitted the hypothesis that this was bad news for the Rafale, but in fact, Amorin is behind the defense strategic partnership with France, so in fact, it's quite positive.

While Dilma Roussef long let think that contrary to Lula, she had no preference, last week, she made it clear that Rafale still was the best choice for her country :

"If the choice was to be made, it would be in favour of the Rafale". These are the Roussef's words to Sarkozy. But they have no money for fighters right now... :)

However, today, Amorin seems to worry about the ageing fleet, and claims that the purchase is an emergency...
