List of Rafale built/delivered

Firstly, I would like to thank the people (spotters) at Delta Reflex, I update this list regularly with their informations.
http://www.deltareflex.com/site/

Each Rafale is affected to the airbase ESTA squadron (technical support squadron) and are allocated to each squadron according to missions or maintainance requirements.

List of squadrons and airbases using Rafale :
  • BA 113 Saint Dizier : EC 1/7 Provence + EC 1/91 Gascogne + ETR 2/92 Aquitaine
  • BA118 Mont-de-Marsan : ECE 5/330 Côte d'Argent + EC 2.30 Normandie Niémen
  • BA 104 Al Dhafra : EC 3/30 Lorraine

This means that any Rafale from the BA 113 can be used by either the Provence, the Gascogne or the Aquitaine, for example.

I'm glad to see that the deliveries of the first new machines from the 59 Rafale ordered in 2004 at the "F3 standard" have just started, all the more because I didn't know that our government had ordered two more planes in the mark of the "economical sustaining plan". Are they really two additionnal planes or just two amidst the 59 wich delivery are going to be sooner than initially scheduled ?

It seems that the original plan to acquier 294 aircraft have been negotiated by the GIE vs a reduction of unit cost and that the park of 300 aircrafts will be completely replaced by Rafales in the long term.

Theseinformation are fragmented between recent Assemblee Nationale docs and Dassault-Aviation mid-term results report 2009.

There were the M22 and M23 planes, which had just been upgraded to the F3 standard

First post edited. It seems that the two MN Rafale lost were the M22 and M25 in fact (source : mer et marine.com)

Yes I've read that today. They also specified that the two aircrafts were not loaded with true weapons but scale models
