I didn't see the information with my own eyes, but several people have seen or heard that our MoD claimed to have used 14 Scalp-EG cruise missiles.

This is still a totally unconfirmed information.

However, according to Jean-Marc Tanguy, at least ONE Scalp EG was shot on an undisclosed target, yesterday (March, 23rd).

He also reports that French fighters didn't shoot anything else yesterday (in Libya).

ABC and BBC report that a French fighter shot down a Lybian aircraft over Misrata. It's been stated that the Libyan aircraft was a Soko Galeb. Is that possibly the first AA kill of a Rafale?

The kill has been confirmed and it was the Rafale, but the G-2 Galeb wasn't really shot down it was destroyed with a Hammer after it landed on its base.

Thanks for the update Scorpion !
It seems that the AdA is shooting a lot of Scalp those days.

According to RFI (Radio France Internationale), the base which was attacked this night was Hun, with MiG-25's and Tu-22's.

There is a good news as even the presence of a handfull of derelict Tu-22 was a bit scary.

According to Pascal*, the raid on Hun was conducted by 2 Rafale Air, 2 Rafale M, 1 Mirage 2000D. Each aircraft carried a single Scalp under belly.
They were flying very low, terrain following.

BBC TV were reporting a few days back France using 14 Storm Shadow and 4 AASM, but they were referring to all French aircraft, not just Rafale, so that could explain the difference in figures.

The BBC initially claimed the Rafale strike to be an air to air kill, but then backtracked and changed it to a ground target strike.
