Hello everyone.

For my first post on this forum, I'dd like to ask for information about tests to take off the Charles de Gaule carrier without using the catapult.

I think that I read somewhere that somme tests where made ( and that the two rafales that crashed after they collided were burning their fuel after such a test ), but I can no longer find any information about this. And I doubt my memory.

Did they realy took place ?
Any information ( max load, etc... ) would be highly appreciated
Any picture or video ?

Thanks

As far as I'm concerned, I've never heard anything like this. In fact, those two birds were testing heavy configuration catapulting.

No STOBAR tests ever to my knowledge.
