Not with a 360° coverage. Imagine spectra detects target in the rearward hemisphere. Sends a couple aesa pulse to get a quick fix and launche a Mica on the target.

Agreed I very much doubt it is possible but it could work in theory.

And why so?

Does anyone of us have a real defition of the woth SMAT as thales describes the system?

I say we can only speculate...

The first video shows F1 standard/developement aircrafts, the Second F2 operational AdA aircrats.

Only the F1 used Magic IIs and had no OSF.
